"Calle de Carlo" City dedicates alley to honor own Marchiori

Renowned muralist and Calistoga resident Carlo Marchiori was honored last week for his most recent contribution to the town: A life-size mural of historic Calistoga.
The city, the Chamber of Commerce and the Economic Vitality Group, who co-sponsored the mural's supply costs, presented a proclamation touting Marchiori's achievements and named the alleyway where the mural is painted "Calle de Carlo". Literally translated, Calle is Italian for narrow street.
"At the Chamber, we've had countless visitors tell us how much they love the murals, how Carlo's work keeps Calistoga's history alive and makes our town look unique," said Calistoga Chamber of Commerce executive director.
